Today was my first real technical interview with the senior engineer for a company. Let’s just say I fell in the dirt pretty hard on that one. I’m just glad I made it through. Should get easier from here on out.
I ended up stumbling in words over concepts I thought I had a solid grasp on.
Anyways, learned new things, and one fall closer to standing up.
Had I believe 3 phone interviews today.
1st was for a software position with Dominoes, was not “senior” enough for the position, but the got redirected to a potential junior interview with a different company. Keeping my fingers crossed on this one.
Yesterday I forgot to mention I talked with a recruiter from Revature, their business model seems pretty solid. I may give that route a try, unclear yet.
Continued updating and maintaining the wordpress site for a school here in Cleveland.
Contacted by a recruiter from Amazon via email, I get a feeling I will be ghosted once they learn a bit more about me, but what the hell, I responded! The worst they will say is , “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO”
and that’s ok.
oh, also Successfully passed my first “coding challenges” for a company out of Chicago. Earned a technical interview with them on Thursday!!
A lot going on, between all of the job searching I am still continuing to learn, build projects, and code.
Hopefully this work will be worth it.
