Had my second video technical interview this morning. I thought it went really well.

They said they would let me know the results early next week.

All great news.

20 minutes later they sent a rejection email..

At least I personally know my interview went better than the first one I did.

That particular job seemed like such a great fit too, a previous teacher working on building out college online learning platforms.

I was really feeling down about that one

but, there is an upside.

Two more phone interviews tomorrow!

One I may have a chance at, the other job is “out of my league,” but I’ve got nothing to lose by trying.

Also waiting to hear back from 2 other companies.

I built out a translator app today!!

Very excited about it. No styling yet, but it’s kind of brilliant.

Right now it does English to Spanish. And I am hoping to expand the options to multiple languages once I get it tempered correctly.

All you do is speak into you the mic in English, and you will hear it come back through your headphones in Spanish.

Yea. Going to be amazing for school kids who don’t have English as a first language and struggle with comprehension because of that.

Problem solved.

Changing the world one app at a time.

To these tech companies, I’m not apparently worth their time or money, but

I’m making a difference.

In real people, and real lives.

That counts for more than any tech companies approval.

To be honest I hate how everything boils down to money, politics, and looking good / taking advantage of whatever the latest “trends” are with people.

Just tossing in my two cents.

I don’t even want to go down that rabbit hole tonight though.
