Took the morning and just went walking.

It felt good to take part of a day and get outside for once.

Honestly I had a fairly severe headache from looking at the screen too much, so that was a welcomed break.

The second half of the day I worked on building a REST API (CRUD operations) with node.js and express js framework.

I also did some studying for my on site company interview on June 18th.

Job search leads are as follows:

On site interview with a company from PA on June 18th.

Phone interview on monday with JPMorgan out of Texas.

Waiting to hear back from initial phone screening with a company out of Boston, MA.

Waiting to hear back from a company in Michigan, did a phone screening, potential junior developer position.

My translation app is up and running, will be looking to deploy it and add it to the portfolio later this week.

I am continuing to update a Wordpress site for a school based here in Cleveland.

I have full intentions tomorrow of getting a lot of coding in, but working on what I want to work on. Sometimes you just need a day like that. Instead of coding “to the job search”, code something you are passionate about.

In my case, it’s learning Python. I have put this off long enough. I just have to know how.

I am fairly fluent in JavaScript and am looking to perhaps build out my backends for websites with Python and Django. I have been using Node.js, which is fine, but i’m thirsting for the full knowledge of OOP and backend scripting power that comes with learning python.
